Express Watermelon Sorbet

This watermelon sorbet is dead easy and quick to prepare and super refreshing on those impossibly hot days. It is dairy, sugar, gluten and all-usual-suspects free and if you prep the watermelon ahead you can make it in under 5 minutes and enjoy it all summer!

I had already tried many ‘express’ home made ice-creams and sorbets, but I have to admit I had never made one so incredibly simple and well...cold. In fact, I had never eaten or drunk anything as cold as this watermelon sorbet. It is so refreshing I have a hard time thinking of something better for a hot day. Watermelon is high in electrolytes that keep you well hydrated and it is also one of the most alkalizing foods. Besides being good for your health, it tastes exquisite! I just love it. simple healthy watermelon sorbet preparation

• 2 cups diced watermelon (2 generous slices)

Suggested Toppings
• Freeze dried açai
• Lime juice

• Knife & chopping board
• Freezer bag or container
• Blender

• Peel the watermelon and chop it into small chunks.
• Place them in a freezer bag or container in the freezer for 5hrs (or overnight).
• Blend the frozen watermelon chunks (you might have to stir the mixture once or twice).
• Serve immediately and be refreshed!

We love to add a squeeze of fresh lime juice or freeze dried açaí powder to our sorbet. Let us know if you enjoy that too!
