IN A NUTSHELL
This simple habit can revolutionize your whole health and mood, keep disease at bay, make your bowel work like a swiss clock and help you lose weight - if there’s an excess. True story - water is the answer!
During the night, our bodies go through a major detoxification and repair process. After 7-8hrs of sleep, we’re naturally dehydrated and therefore need water - not food. The nightly cleansing process has to be concluded through the flushing of toxins. This can only happen if there's enough water running through our system.
I personally start the day with 1l of good quality water on an empty stomach (more on this topic on the blog soon!). But if that sounds like too much for you, don’t worry. Start with one glass and slowly increase the amount. You’ll get used to it very quickly, I promise, and your body will keep asking for more!
After pure, plain water, I always drink the juice of one lemon diluted in a glass of… more water :) Lemons are extremely alkaline and help the body re-balance its pH that is slightly acidic after the nightly detox process.
This simple habit is an extremely powerful natural remedy that is often overlooked. Many diseases and common symptoms could be avoided and healed through this easy practice. I encourage you to try it for a week. You won’t regret giving it a chance and I even bet you’ll be healthily addicted in no time at all!

Tip: Simple Healthy Habits
Prep Time: 3’ | Drinking Time: 5-10’
• spring water or filtered water
• 1 lemon
• Always brush your teeth before drinking your morning water to get rid of the harmful bacteria in your mouth.
• Drink up to 1l of plain water on an empty stomach (in the beginning this process might take you a little longer, but with time, you’ll get used to drinking your water fairly fast. I drink a whole liter in under 4’).
• Squeeze the juice of one lemon and pour it in a large glass.
• Fill up the glass with water, mix and drink.
It is natural not to feel hungry after drinking water and lemon-water first thing in the morning. We usually mistake thirst for hunger. Our bodies usually do not need food until mid morning, so if you’re not hungry until then after you’ve had your water don’t panic.
